Negatory. I'm working - I have to get my company's gift card program ready to print by next week to meet Black Friday deadlines. We hit a clusterfuck today when we found out the state of California does not allow gift cards to expire, thus we're trying to find a way to void our liability as time goes on.

I actually don't like gatherings either but I do like small venue concerts and good sushi. FFXII, since I haven't had much time to play it this week, trumps the standard Friday night go drink at the local hippie joint with my friends/roommates but only if I manage to get out of the house at some other point this weekend.

Since you're a traditional HS student I'd advise you to take it and not screw around. You're 17, and by the time SATs are given out again you'll probably have little time to apply to a college.

I didn't have this problem because I had around 90 college credits before I applied to any university. I was able to transfer as a junior, saving my parents a lot of money and myself a lot of time. I could have got a 9 on the ACT and still got in lol. Only thing that held me out of going to UofM was their stupid legal battles with my school; sometimes I hate tightass Michigan people. They wouldn't accept my credits because I was taking college classes long before I officially graduated from highschool or something like that.

But once I got into EMU, UofM started contacting me begging me to come there; WTF? They sent me tickets to a Michigan game and everything, but I was too pissed to go. I'll transfer there soon, but they really pissed me off.

Where are you thinking of going to college? Out of state perhaps? Maybe somewhere in Michigan? :)

If I were you...I'd stay in school at all costs. If a draft breaks out, dropouts and guys who aren't in school are the first to be looked at.

Taking time off before college is one of the best things I ever did, and I think it can be smart as long as you do it right. It gave me time to save up money and travel a lot, and buy a lot of the things I wanted. It also taught me a lot about what it's like to work a 40-hour week. A lot of people come out of college with little to no experience in the workforce.

Edit: Since we're all flashing our e-penises, I got a 30 on the ACT without studying. I got 99% of the questions correct in the entire English section.
