I used that foul mouf brits technique (of Hell's Kitchen) of taking the skillet with the egg and milk concoction and taking the said skillet off and on the stove (while scrambling the eggs). It takes a little forearm muscle but what you end up geting is the most moist scrambled eggs of all time. I didn't even have to add salt since the fluffy eggs carried the milk well.
God, Saturday started off awesome

psh, i was doing that shit when I was 9. Catch up, mister.
make the best fried egg ever and come back and talk to me
:-*
-
I've always made sucky scrambled eggs :(
-
awww I do them the mexican way actually.
-decent amount of grease so they don't burn
-move that shit around with a fork or spoon
but i hardly ever make scrambled eggs. fried eggs is where it's at :drool
-
try using a little bit of plain coffee creamer (the liquid kind) when you're cooking scrambled eggs next time, gives them a really good flavor
-
no cheese in scrambled eggs = epic fail
-
uhh what's the point of this thread when there are no pics

That's actually the classical french style, BT. Ramsay, though Scottish, is a classical trained chef in the french tradition. The trick with eggs is to use gentle heat, hence moving the pan on and off the heat. Too much heat gives egg a rubbery texture instead of the creamy, fluffy texture that is desired. Adding butter while cooking the egg also improves their flavor dramatically.

rman :bow
Yeah, the texture of the eggs was fantastic. I was worried that it would come out weird since it was turning into a paste at one point but I kept working it and the scrambled eggs started to form. I didn't add any salt or butter due to me trying to cut those things out of my diet but the taste of milk in the eggs itself was good enough.

A friend of mine introduced me to the most amazing scrambled eggs ever. All he did was scramble them, like and person would... but then he added Lawry's seasoning to the eggs.
"OMFG!" I screamed but it was pretty unintelligible since it sounded like "ohmmfguh!"
After that I bought some Lawry's on my next grocery shopping excursion and have never looked back.
that's L-A-W-R-Y-S

This is the truth. I came here to post this.

i found a video of him doing it, and it does look pretty tasty

people always eat scrambled eggs in tv shows/movies, and i always wanted to eat it like that, but i always failed. ima use this video as a guideline.
:bow gordon ramsey :bow2

He seems to cook them a little too soft for my tastes but when you leave them in just a little longer, they become firmer but still fluffy as hell. Love that technique.
I'm also going to check into the Lawry's seasoning. Since I pretty much only eat scrambled eggs on Saturday morning, some salt wouldn't hurt :D

omg that looks delicious MARRY ME
-
Wow, that picture convinced me to try this tomorrow. That looks like it's out of a magazine.
-
I'm weird, I like to cook the living hell out of the eggs, almost to the point of burning it. Then salt the shit out of it. Mmm Mmm
-
I used to be the same but I'm starting to dig the softer more moist scrambled eggs. I actually used to almost sear the fuckers (browning them) :lol
I still need to by Lewrey's Salt, I'll stop by Target later.
-
I can't wait until I get home so I can make more eggs. I should have woken up earlier today so I could eat breakfast
-
Yeah, all I ate this morning was a bowl of Banana Bread Oats, Juice and a Protein Drink. I almost passed out at the Gym. Breakfast is important!
-
One of the few things I thought I knew how to cook and here I find out I'm doing it all wrong. :'(
-
I tried this this morning and it was genius. I was really skeptical, but it was a home run.
-
Next time I go to a chick's house I'm going to randomly open her fridge, pull out her eggs, and throw them on the oven. Her reaction to the taste will be priceless :bow

I gotta try this
do you have to use the creme fraiche he uses in the vid or can you use a substitute? did you make them with that tsunami?

I didn't even use the creme fraiche, I would imagine you would use it to make the eggs even creamier (which I wouldn't want anyways, I'm fine with them just being a little wet and undercooked). Give it a try.

so just the eggs & butter and on/off the fire technique? sounds easy enough
-
And make sure you continually stir them
-
The best scambled eggs would have been the ones you made but eaten off my chest. :-* I don't shave my chest either so there's hidden treasure.

Yep and as PD stated, your going to need to stick with the eggs the whole time. I made them again (for the picture) and I actually cracked the eggs into the skillet and scrambled them there...I didn't use any butter either since I'm trying to get away from eating any fatty like that but I'm sure the texture will come out even better with some butter.

i eat fatty breakfasts like that in the weekends :drool
2 times a week can't be that bad
-
Do the technique your doing (you can cook eggs for up to 30 minutes like this, a la James Beard) but add a little bit of cream in addition to the butter and some fennel and a touch of garlic. You'll get the best scrambled eggs ever. :drool
That's one of favorite ways of cooking eggs. I remember cooking them when I was 14 and my mother was blown away.
-
I tried this today and the results were astounding, this is the way I'll have my eggs from now on
-
I made some more today. This time I added a slice of cheese to the eggs while still stirring. The result was absolutely amazing. The cheese was cooked right into the eggs, creating a delicious flavor blast omg
-
Thread bookmarked for next time I have eggs.
