Title: Granddad and the Jews

So today was my grandfather's birthday and we headed over to see him and my grandma; he was looking and sounding MUCH better today than the last time I saw him, so I'm glad for that.

But if there's one thing about my grandfather I can say...the man knows how to talk about nothing. You can make a pretty simple statement, and he'll go on for 10min about it. Case in point, he was drinking some ice water and I said "there's nothing better than a big glass of ice water". He proceded to take the next 15 min to explain why Michigan has the best water in the entire world. His theory? "In Michigan there's a lake every 5 miles, where ever you go. You could drive down 8 Mile for 5 miles and find a lake."  ......

But anyway, today he was talking about the design of his house, and eventually them jews came up...

Granddad: Oh yes, this house is built sturdy. The roof on this house is at least 100 years old, and strong. But the problem is the house was made for jews
Dad: ...
Me: How so?
Granddad: Everything in this house is made with the jew in mind; all the houses in this neighborhood. The ceilings are low, even the toilets and baths are small so a little jew can get inside. The, the, the jews are little, you know? They aren't big like taller people.
Me: And Chinese people are even smaller
Granddad: You better believe it. The China man is small, but he don't build houses, he builds railroads
Me: Well if the Chinese built the railroads and they're smaller than the Jews, how come railroads aren't small like Chinese people?
Granddad: ...You know, I, I, I never thought of that. I never thought of that. The tracks should be small
Dad: ...
Granddad: But the jews built all these houses and then moved out the city, because they make a lot of money you see. So now the big black man and the big messican man is left with the little jew man's toilet seat, bathtub, and ceiling. *laughs*
Me: It's a shame

I couldn't imagine that situation. Both of my pairs of grandparents are extreme liberals who dont have those old people political views.  :lol

Well he's a black guy from the south, what do you expect lol? He wasn't allowed to go to school down south, and by the time he got up north he was too busy trying to find a job. I'm sure your grandparents were better educated and didn't have to worry about as much shit lolz :interracial

My mother's parents died when I was too young to know their political views.

My father's parents are rednecks and fairly racist.  It's funny, because their grandchildren are all half hispanic, except one that is black.  Their only granddaughter is 3/4 hispanic.  And their prize son has a thing for asians.  God must hate them or something.  lolz
