Title: This is going to sound distinguished mentally-challenged, but how do I buy a plane ticket?

So I've got one of those ATM/Visa card things from my bank, but it's got a $500/purchase, $1000/day limit.
I also just got an Amazon Visa card, but that gave me a $500 credit limit.

I'm planning to fly to Germany, but the plane ticket is going to cost like $1300.

How the fuck do I go about getting this?

The total limit seems $1000.  I doesn't look like you could do it.  Request a credit limit increase.

maybe if you used the amazon card to get a gift certificate then pay off the rest on your bank card

Call your bank that issued the Visa debit card, tell them you need to make a puchase past the usual cap. The card isn't a line of credit, and the limit is there to get them from getting buttraped on fraud charges should it get stolen.

Fuck, I've got the money sitting there in my checking account. I just want to spend the goddamn shit.

Call them on the CS number on the back of the card , they will help you out.

yah, just tell them you need to do a purchase past your daily/one time purchase limit and they'll help you out.  they want you to spend that money legitimately :p

after you call the bank to settle this.

go on fatwallet.com and look for some credit card deals that let you transfer your credit limit or just ask your bank for a moderate credit limit increase.  that shouldn't be a problem at your age assuming you use credit cards semi-often, I know a guy who co-ordinated his credit card applications to have 10K on one card and 40K total in credit (among like 8 cards tho). he's pretty crazy about it but the process is pretty simple.

Some places will let you use Paypal to pay for the airfare. Just link your checking account to your Paypal account.
