It's true, but then again, he got on my nerves occasionally. Still, just wondering where he was.

What?  I met Melissa in real-life.  She sent me off from Hollywood.  We had a lot fun - she was really cool.  We even did an Irish car bomb together.  I never banned her.  She's very much into an Internet persona and being personally disconnected from forums.  That's cool, but she wants the freedom to do whatever she wants and that's not this place.  We never bickered and I think we both have a mutual understanding.  She never fought me on that.

She's not hideous.  She's not as abrasive in real-life as she is online, that's for sure.  Her fiance (I think they were engaged, it was awhile ago) was a really cool guy, despite all that crap he got with Internet chest-thumpers over at Opa-Ages.

I don't think you understand what a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow is but one example is a person who tells a 'funny story' about rape to random people on the internet.  I think you should focus what kinds of characteristics a person a person like that has.

No no, the man law is "If there's grass on the field, play ball." It's the legal law that gets you in trouble. But yeah, this isn't really that uncommon I'm sure. I remember when I was a freshman, there were several girls in my class that were all gaga over a couple of Senior guys. They wouldn't date any of the guys in our class, because they wanted to brag about dating "an older man." The older men are distinguished mentally-challenged jocks that are just looking for a little action, generally.

Title: Re: Legitimate question: what happened to Flame of Callandor?
Post by: recursivelyenumerable on March 28, 2008, 04:10:54 AM
my mom actually told me it was OK for me to date 20-year-olds because "getting into the game this late, you don't really have a choice".  While I'd like to believe this, since my not dating when younger was my own fault anyway I don't really see how I can justify giving myself special treatment an account of it.  I dunno, despite an apparent breakout year in 2007 I think that'll probably end up being an anomaly and I'll never have any dates or relationships again.  2008 has already been a total bust so far, and it's already 25% complete.  Soon it'll be 50%, then 100% and I'll be 26 and a half, then I'll be 30 soon after that, then 40, 50 etc. and I doubt I'll have made any progress whatever, I'll remain 14 emotionally and even intellectually I won't have learned anything new due to laziness.

Title: Re: Legitimate question: what happened to Flame of Callandor?
Post by: recursivelyenumerable on March 28, 2008, 04:17:24 AM
I met a girl here in St. Louis last month and we hit it off really well etc. and she gave me her phone number and etc., and taught me how to dance, and we were going to meet up again when we got back to Portland but it's looking like I won't even be making it back to Portland in time because I can't find my goddamn cellphone because my parents' house is such a goddamn mess and I can't leave without my cellphone, and also my employer is looking really shaky and my skin looks like shit  and I'll never be attractive again.

and there's all this math I have to learn before I progress and it's just weighing on me there is like graph theory and descriptive complexity and functional analysis all this stuff that i'm completely ignorant about and i'm making incredibly slow progress partly because i've been incredibly lazy lately I should be spending 100% of my free time studying or at least 80%, 70% or if I'm not at least I should be spending what I don't spend on studying doing something socially productive such as having relationships etc. but that's not possible at this time so

there are circular dependencies
