You have to have the game taste of a fucking ntard to hate VP2. Maybe you don't like rpgs like, at ALL.Or are you one of those fegs that plays for "story"?

well, he has a point. not like ms hasn't quietly released rpgs in the summer to hide them before.

but this is japan, and we all know that the japanese will be outdoors molting during the fall months, so this is pretty smart

VP2 was good but it got too repetitive, it's always the same pattern: enter a town, buy stuff, go to the next dungeon, grind grind grind, come back to town, buy more equipment, go back to the area and kill the boss, and then proceed to the next town... over and over again, without any real variety

isnt that what you do in like... the majority of rpgs?

Yeah, the last hard RPG I played was FFV.  Most contemporary games are pretty easy on their default difficulties.

I saw Radiata Stories for $20 on amazon a few days ago, Himuro. I don't know anything about it, so I ignored it.

Why? I don't remember anything about the final boss.

You beat just about everything you play though. Did you actually like it?

My characters might have been under leveled, because everything I tried failed miserably with the final boss.

I own Radiata Stories, I bought a copy from Gamefly for $15 a couple years ago, but I've never played it.

it's a suikoden clone that sounds like it did a lot of evolution to the traditional suikoden formula. it's a tri-ace game. been meaning to play it for years.

It pretty much dies at the second disc. There's no big ol twist or anything, it ends just how it's meant to.

I would expect that Square gave them the go-ahead to pick 360 as their platform of choice. Or if Tri-Ace is 100% in control, then swap their name for Square's in my question.

this game is 100% funded by Microsoft, of course it's 360 exclusive

the publisher was changed to Square Enix at some point too, probably for marketing reasons

God I will have to get a 360 sooner or later to play Blue Dragon, Chopin's Dream, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery.

That and Crackdown.

You don't want that.  Trust me.

You don't want that.  Trust me.

I meant Eternal Sonata (?). What's wrong with that game? I'm a jRPG fanatic so I will even play shit as long as it has battles and animu characters.

:\ it's shitty
Title: Re: OXM owns Famitsu, Infinite Undiscovery blow out
Post by: Mondain on March 27, 2008, 01:52:33 PM
it has an incoherent plot and there are only like ten different enemy designs in the whole game with multiple palette swaps (also for the bosses), plus the combat system initially sounds appealing but it quickly devolves in nothing but mindless button mashing

good cel-shading, a few nice anecdotes about the life of Chopin, a relaxing atmosphere and godly music are pretty much its only positive points
Title: Re: OXM owns Famitsu, Infinite Undiscovery blow out
Post by: demi on March 27, 2008, 02:29:35 PM
:\ it's shitty

I liked FFX and FFX-2 and Grandia 2.

It's worse than those dude - way worse

You also left out Enchanted Arms in your list, play that instead
