I've become pretty attached to needing to wipe after pooping, and needing to get off the toilet to flush the shit down the toilet.

Pretty much everything else is accounted for except for a $15 number theory book, which I hate to lose but I could probably just buy another one at Powell's Technical.  The phone is more vexing because of the SIM card data and stuff.  Actually, come to think of it tracking down all the clothes I packed is going to be a pain too, as is packing in general.  ugh I should just curl up in bed and never get out again

I only meant to spend a couple weeks here and it's been over three months!

If you think packing clothes is hard just wait till youre stuck in a house with a strapping don juan and zombies outside waiting to eat yer brains.

I wish I had a decent local social circle of single guys and gals to hang out with, instead of oscillating being hopeless game dorks and balanced married folks. Nobody is single at my age (28) anymore. I think all the girls I want to date are hiding in med school.

...and you're sick.

I can't be the only one here who doesn't see the solution/premise for an awful romcom.

med school girls are awfully horny in my experience.  grey's anatomy is pretty close to the mark

While I'm on a roll solving everyone's life problems, I'll cut tennin's Gordian knot...

I think for the rom com to be truly successful

I have to be PRETENDING to be sick to meet med school girls

I'm reading your reluctance to do housework as male entitlement.

You don't wanna reinforce the patriarchy, do you, tennin?  Do you?

And maybe have a bet with one of your buddies about how many chicks you can date/diseases you can fake.

Then she finds out at the beginning of the third act, and is all "I can't believe you lied to me!" and you're all "It was a game at first, but I fell in love with you and just couldn't find a way to tell you!"

You prove your love through a grand gesture of selflessness, which saves the community hospital from the evil developer, or the sick kids' ward from the evil chief of medicine/romantic rival.  She sees you on TV repeating a poignant line that she said to you earlier in the movie, and realizes you do care.

You're obviously played by Owen Wilson.  Luke, if everything goes wrong in pre-production.

I was thinking that if we want to go the tearjerker route, I could actually come down with a real, incurable illness in the third act that brings us closer together before I pass away peacefully with her at my side. test audiences may prefer your ending, however.

We could compromise and kill off a secondary character, perhaps as the catalyst for your realization that This Really Matters.

A grouchy but loveable Ed Asner?  A goofy but wistful John C. Reilly?  A foulmouthed but vulnerable Sarah Silverman?  A precocious and inspiring Dakota Fanning?

The chick is played by Reese Witherspoon, by the way.

good idea--killing off the secondary character delivers the pathos while still allowing for the happy ending. I vote for Dakota Fanning--everyone loves a dying child

There should also be a sassy black patient, played by Tyler Perry in a fatsuit, who has type 2 diabetes.

I think it'd be cool if he REALLY DID contract various diseases, by sneaking into the wards of infected patients.

NO ONE does housework here.  You should see my sister's room.

Yeah, but your sister's not the one kvetching on the forum about how she can't move on with her life because some personal object is lost in the mess.

This seems like a common trend. Effort is the key, and to achieve specific goals you have to sacrifice something to obtain your goal.

God it sucks.

Nano machines and brain implants ftw.
