According to sources there, the PlayStation Store is finally getting a graphical user interface overhaul, one planned to arrive alongside Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue on April 15. The revamp of the PlayStation Store is said to give it a look more in tune with the SingStore, which is already accessible from the PlayStation 3 version of SingStar.
Details were light on the change, but beyond a coat of paint, word was that navigation would change to a series of icons running along the bottom of the interface. We don't have official confirmation on this one yet, so consider it rumor for now.
The old format is now free to be thrown under the bus by Sony fanboys.

old rumor, and it needs to be integrated in the XMB (like 360 marketplace) and not just a website.

As long as that guy keeps linking to this forum, I really don't care what he does

Oh :(
What's wrong with it being a website, as long as it's good? I don't even really like the XMB.

* “Echochrome” — This is Sony’s hyped MC Escher-style puzzle game. I previewed it in December and now have a full PS3 build. This thing seems just about complete to me. More to come on it this afternoon. The game will be out in early May.
* “Elefunk” — From the title you might expect a music game starring elephants. I did. Instead, this game requires players to use a set number of struts, squares and other beam supports to build bridges for cute but gravity-prone chasms. If you’re smart enough, you can build a bridge that will support their efforts to traverse deep gaps. The game will be out in May.
* “PixelJunk Monsters: Encore” — This expansion to the tower-defense game “PixelJunk Monsters” adds the island of Toki to the original game’s island of Tiki. Looks like there are at least a dozen new levels, but I need to play more to learn more. Add-on pack will be out in late April
* “WipEout HD” — Even on standard-definition TVs this game looks like the slickest futuristic racer since “F-Zero GX.” I’ve asked Multiplayer “WipEout” aficionado Patrick Klepek to investigate this game. He’ll have impressions later today. The game will be out in late May or early June.

Echochrome and Wipeout HD are such fucking must buys

The first for PS3 this year! :o
Is Wipeout going to be priced over $20?

What does Singstore look like again? As long as it doesn't look like another transplanted web page, I'll be cool with it.

Can I hotlink Kotaku?

I'll definitely buy Echochrome. I think the art style would look great on a big TV.
Wipeout is a maybe. I've never been a huge fan, but the screens I've seen look really nice.

Wipeout is going to require a demo for me, especially if it's over $10.
-
how so? it seems like there's quite a lot to it. well, to me atleast
-
I haven't specifically followed it, so I don't know about featureset. I just don't like spending $30 on something that can never be traded, lent out, borrowed or rented.
-
oh, that's fine. i was just commenting on the price

$30 is too much for something that looks more like an upscaled PS2 game than a true PS3 game.
-
wat? it looks better than most retail games on ps3, and it's 1080p native at 60fps
wipeout :bow2

No point making a new store if still has no content

2 weeks of ZERO UPDATES in preparation for the new store.

:lol PAL users would just assume it's business as usual.

I've never played a full version on Wipeout. I played the original PSOne demo a long time ago and I quite enjoyed it. I stuck to Ridge for the most part, though. Hopefully, there will be a demo.
