what the fuck??
-
no, that's never ok.
-
Its that your/you're bullshit taking another spill through the guardrails on Fuckhead Drive.
-
that's what i thought! but fuck man, so many people do it. do they not realize it's actually less work to spell it correctly??
-
Loosen up, don't lose your cool.
-
You know what Mupepe. I was thinking the same exact shit the other day.
Odd that! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!! :P

I've noticed posters on this forum typing payed instead paid.
And stop using single hyphens instead of dashes to enclose elements of a sentence.
-
I hate lose instead of loose. I also hate two/too/to mix-ups, and should of/would of/could of instead of should have/would have/could have.
-

Most people pronounce "could have" and "would have" as contractions: "I could've been a contender." They think they're actually saying "could of" because that's how the contraction sounds.
-
Yea, people that do this are pretty much worse than serial rapists.

I understand that, but I just think you have to be an idiot to actually think it's could of and not could have/could've.

"I could care less." Omfg :maf :maf :maf :maf

The internet is rapidly evoling and killing the written English language, this has been pretty clear for some time now.
See stuff like this:

For all intensive purposes.
Saw someone type it a few years ago and thought that singled them out for ridicule. Apparently it's a more and more common mistake. Seriously, wtf?
-
I'd accept any amount of lose/loose confusion in exchange for a credible promise from everyone to stop using "literally" to mean "figuratively"
Last month I got into a flamewar over it on a message board devoted to video game soundtracks, which I'm sure is approaching theoretical bounds for dorkiness. I am also (partly) home-schooled, btw, by my mom who has a political science Ph.D., assigned me Marxist texts to read and wears her grammar nazi uniform with pride.

My favorite picture ever, because so many fucking people do not get it.

Nice!

I am getting increasingly annoyed by the inability to use "its" leading to an abundance of "it's" instead.

http://dictionary.reference.com/help/faq/language/
it's a really nice faq covering the most commonly asked questions about word and grammar usage, spelling, and etymology.
-
i think it's because people don't read as much anymore and as such they type as it sounds rather than as it looks.
but i have no evidence with which to back up this supposition
-
Yeah its about time people learned it's correct use :-*
:cookiem

She sounds butch, does she have a mullet and punch men in the dick when she's at the grocery store?

This one's really great, too. http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/index.html
