Title: Is there an anime series nearly as funny as FMP? Fumoffu?
Post by: Himu on March 31, 2008, 01:24:51 AM: This is seriously my favorite anime comedy series at this point. Every ep is hilarious and you can watch any ep in any order. ISometimes when I'm feeling down I'll just watch an ep of Fumoffu and it'll cheer me right up. I've seen the most notable comedy anime. Azumanga, Ping Pong Club, Cromartie, Guu, Ebichu, Dr Slump (manga...which is very close actually)..you name it. but none of them were nearly as funny as Fumoffu, which reminds me of western cartoons in more than a few areas.

i like cromartie high school a lot

there's also 2x2 = Shinobuden, guu, ping pong club

Also check out Dragon Half. It's old and it's only a two episode OVA (as compared to the manga version's seven volumes, which were never translated into English AFAIK), but it's some good stuff.
