BG&E YOU BASTARDS

Steam is a great way for companies to make money off their old games. I have many friends who purchased old games off Steam that they wouldn't otherwise wouldn't have bought.
I think Steam would also help to curb piracy of new games. Steam makes it possible for a gamer to get the game as soon as possible and that's incentive enough for someone to not pirate.
Steam would be even more successful if they can keep the prices 5-10 dollars lower than retail but unfortunately, the retail stores won't let that happen.

i like to think that money goes to the game creators some how
even if that's just a fantasy i tell myself

Steam is a great way to monetize their back catalogue. I know I'll pony up for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory when it is released there, since I've played the first two via gametap and would really like to play CT on my PC, where everything is high res and PURTY.
-
I picked up the limited edition of Chaos Theory for $19.99 a year after it was released. The tin case was pretty cool. Sometimes, it's good to wait.
-
$20 for the first splinter cell?
bitch, you high.
-
WOW $20, wtf.
Should have been like 7.95.

Chaos Theory is the 3rd game.

It seemed like a good deal for a special edition. :-\
-
OH!
i'm sorry
no, that's what Steam is charging for the first one
you're absolutely fine with what you paid for that game.

I was referring to the Steam price, not your buy. I'd buy the tin if I could find it anywhere for that price. I didn't start playing the SC games until about two months ago when I downloaded one of them on a whim on gametap and realized that it tickled both my Thief and Jack Bauer buttons (yes I like war/terror porn).

When you use the word porn and have that avatar, I have some election fanfiction for you.

I really don't think we need to go there. Besides, with Obama saying that having a baby is punishment, I'm voting for him now.

It involves Jim Ross, Barack Obama, John McCain, 37 Prostitutes, wonder woman, John Romero, the illuminati, strap-ons, Vladimir Putin, Lou Dobbs, the ghost of Donald Trump, that hooker that Marion Barry was with, Margret Thatcher, James May, and nuclear war.
That said, it is the single worst erotic story I have ever read.
