Title: Could it be? Is this the end of the Andrew Gregory arc in Gil Thorp?

That sounds decidedly like the sort of terrible one-liner at the end of a sitcom episode.  It's just about time to get going on baseball season, too.

Fingers crossed.  The Gregory storyline has gone on for way too long without any comical amounts of violence.  We need some fresh blood, and more Kaz.

Word about a month back was that the new artist was coming soon.  It would make sense for him to slip in between storylines.

Uh, yep, confirmed:

Quote
Rod Whigham -- who succeeds Frank McLaughlin -- will team with "Gil Thorp" writer Neal Rubin, a Detroit News columnist. The artist's work will begin to appear with the April 7 strip.

No wonder I am the Jesus of Thorp.

Also, Curtis is apparently high in today's strip:

Curtis continues to provide an accurate portrayal of what it means to be black in Amerikkka.

I like how the go for the terrible "horse laugh" pun even though Dick is, well, clearly not laughing.  And he wasn't laughing yesterday, either--he got a hammer thrown at him, I believe.  So the poor villain wasted his terrible pun.

Turns out the strip I posted wasn't Friday's, but Saturday's, so I was right that there was a strip missing.  To make this even funnier, my source for strips is the official Gil Thorp site!  Gil Thorp's webmaster made an oopsie!

Unfortunately, the real Friday strip indicates that we may have to deal with Andrew Gregory joining the baseball team. <sigh>
