I also like Korean MMOs, RTS's, RPGs and Text Based adventure games.

Personally though, I want a 3D Castlevania because I think it could still be done properly. Maybe on the UE3 engine with a modern setting, some guns, and a kick ass cover system.

Who cares that all the other Castlevanias had their journeys and their quests spanning through forrests, cemeteries, lakes, swamps, caves, collapsing bridges, burning villages, only to reach Dracula's castle at the tail end. That shit is so early 90's! Running through halls and rooms with a similar layout but with different enemies is where it's at!

At least the old ones had variety in the locations compared them simply changing the wallpaper and sprites. Having the indoor sections broken up with the outdoor made the adventure feel like there was some meat to it as opposed to just throwing you into another room with actual meat in it. I still enjoyed the Igavanias but, with the exception of Symphony, they've always felt cheaply made to me.

Check out these two videos of Bloodlines that show a good use of level design inside and outside. Notice how rarely the the player is confronted with the same obstacles and how each area is destinctly unique. This is something I feel is absent in the modern Castlevanias.

This reminds me, I've had Bloodlines all these years and I've never played the expert mode. Now that I got my PSP hacked I might just do that.

I've always felt he should just try to build on what Simon's Quest started. Keep the RPG elements but incorporate the platforming, exploration and scope of the earlier Castlevanias. Getting this series out of the castle would be a huge step up for the franchise at the moment.
