also watch kung fu hustle sometime

it's not really a kung fu movie like the one you're watching right now, but it's so hilarious

One-Armed Swordsman, bitch.

Also, and forgive me, for I have not listened to RZA's commentary on 36th Chamber. . .what is it with black people and kung fu flicks?

One armed swordsman is awesome.  It surprised me that Hong Kong was capable of making such a high quality film even back then.

i really really really like the new one armed swordsman

the whole trilogy is by Chang Cheh, my favorite hk director of all time.

it's a shame that his best movies probably won't make it over here, but i'm rather shocked the VERY marketable Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan hasn't been published here.

oh and "curse of the black scorpion" or whatever it's called is really The Banquet, which is a HK Wuxia Hamlet.  It's really good.

Then it's One Upon a Time in China, Enter the Dragon, Shaolin and the Wutang, The Mystery of Chess Boxing, fists of the white lotus, Tai-Chi master, Master Killer, and finally...my all time favorite: Iron Monkey.

Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle both rock, but my favourite Steven Chow movie is God of Cookery, fucking amazing

is he working on anything new?

Master Killer is just an alternate title for 36th Chamber, isn't it?

There's another movie called Master Killer apparently. However, after inspecting the case, it is indeed 36 Chamber of Shaolin. My friend let me borrow the dvd fully examine it until now.

Sigh if only there were video games that gave a kung fu movie like experience. Only Shenmue series fits that description. Hell, Shenmue II is a complete kung fu movie in game form.

Yes because we all know that playing with kittens and collecting shitty Sega collectible crap is a component of kung fu movies.
