Ima buy this bitch (I buy PSP games)
-
It's just so-so. The controls are clunky and the level designs are boring. No point in getting it if you can get R&C for PS3.

Better than Daxter

Already have that, but I might as well wrap up the collection for $20.
It got great reviews on PSP, are they way off? Did you play it on PS2 or PSP?
-
PSP, I stopped after 3 planets because the controls suck. Adjusting the camera got to be a pain and the game wasn't that exiting anyways, so I just quit.
Graphics aren't bad for a PSP game. It's like a sparser version of the PS2 games.

What's wrong with the controls? Camera?
-
Now that I think about it, I can't imagine how the gameplay would work without a second analog or 4 shoulder buttons. GameTrailers' review says you have to use the dpad to strafe? :lol
-
I can't remember exactly...I think you have a mode where you can just use the shoulder buttons to turn the camera....which allows you to strafe just by moving the nub.
-
I don't recall the specifics, but there's too much duty assigned to the shoulder buttons. The game gives a great first impression though, which is probably why it got great reviews. I played the first several planets, and the game is pretty easy, even for an R&C game, probably due to compensation for the controls.
Honestly, I'd skip it unless you were looking for a POWAR OF PSP showpiece. And I love R&C.

Better than Tools of Destruction
-
Tools start off slowly but the 2nd half is pretty fun. The game also plays much better with the FPS-like controls. I don't know why R&C is still considered a platformer. It's basically a 3rd person shooter that has some jumping elements. What little platforming there is, isn't challenging at all.
-
Maybe I'll skip it then :(
Ratchet is definitely more third person shooter than platformer. It's had the TPS controls since UYA, if not GC though.
