Title: I need a new turn-based GBA game.

On a recent plane trip, I got back into finishing up FFTA and dotting all the i's and crossing the t's. It's actually a bit better of a game than I used to think

So, I am still jonsing for another turn-based game (strat or jrpg) I can play on the go.

I've already played FFTA, Advanced Wars, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem:SS and Mazes of Fate.

Whats left ... Shining Soul II, Riviera, Yggdra Union? Which one of those should I play next .. or is there something better?

Shining Soul II is more of an action-based dungeon crawler.

there is pokemon but you probably don't like it.

I really wish I could recommend the Phantasy Star Collection, but there is a crippling bug in Phantasy Star 1 that occurs sometimes when you try to save the game (it'll lock up and not save), and the screen is extremely cut in resolution in Phantasy Star 2 and 3. And of course there are Breath of Fire 2, and FF4-6 Advance.

Fuuuuck.. I was hoping this thread would turn into a bunch of people telling me to play Riviera. Dammit.

I wasn't a huge fan of Golden Sun (it was ok), maybe I will emu GS2 and see if it is better before I buy.

BOF2 sounds like a good choice too.

Yea, maybe I will send you a PM if I decide to buy it. I need to check my local Gamestop and see if they even have it on sale used.

Riviera's pretty boring, it's nothing but constant dialogue and banter in a slow-paced adventure-style game with repetitive (although nice) backgrounds, I don't get the GAF love for this game.

I think that's where I should focus next. I haven't played a T:O game since the SNES days. Then Yggdra next.

How much for T:O demi?

Yggdra Union was fun from what I played. Shit dialogue though. I remember the GBA Tactics Ogre game being kinda boring...

Play Golden Sun 2 if you can find it.
