It's shifting from the circa-1988 W-body platform to Epsilon 2, the new version of the platform that underpins the A-grade Malibu, but will first be seen in the Opel Insignia/Saturn Aura:

I'm becoming a legitimate GM fan.

it looks pretty sex
-
Lol wut.
-
No, I wouldn't buy it. It looks like a cheap imitation of Euro prestige brands. I'd rather have a real one instead.
:bow BMW, Mercedes, Porsche :bow2

If Tiger Woods comes with the car, yes. I need a good golfing buddy. :-*
-
Tiger is one of my most disliked athletes. His endorsement of Buick makes me want to buy its vehicles even less.
-
I would buy a Buick if they closed up shop in America and relocated to Europe or Japan. In other words, if they stopped being crappy.

Srsly? I never heard of that. He seems like a class act through and through.

This car's exterior was designed by Buick China (the concept car is being unveiled at Shanghai Motor Show) and the platform is from Europe.
Buick's been a quality leader for years btw, not sure what you mean by crappy.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.: 9 August 2007 —Buick ties with Lexus to rank highest among nameplates in vehicle dependability—marking the first time in 12 years that another brand ties with Lexus for the highest-rank position, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS) released today.
The study, which measures problems experienced by original owners of 3-year-old (2004 model year) vehicles, finds that Buick and Lexus tie for the top rank position with a score of 145 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). Following in the top five rankings are Cadillac, Mercury and Honda, respectively.
3/5 domestic, 2/5 GM.

are they copying bmw now? bmw's look so much better
-
Outside of the tail lights, I'm not seeing it. Oh, and maybe the taper to the headlight. Almost every manufacture follows BMW anywho, the car looks pretty damn unique outside of those elements.
Hood looks like the newer Infinitis, but these cars were designed at the same time so.
-
the aura you posted looks a lot like bmw's to me, shrug
but yeah, :bow bmw :bow2
who doesn't jeremy clarkson like how bmw's look? :'(
-
I'm not seeing it in the Aura, comparo pics?

Raised trunk I guess?
-
in those pics it doesn't, yeah. the one in your previous post does somewhat remind me of a bmw--it's probably a little bit from the side, then, i guess.
do any of you watch top gear, btw? it kinda got me into cars. even if you don't like cars, it's still a very entertaining show.
-
It's probably the greenhouse, it has that swoop to it.
I've tuned into it on Youtube now and then but I don't watch a lot of TV. I wind up hearing about the more interesting features from my friend, who's become addicted.
I didn't like BMW's styling when they first started with the flame surfacing kick, but it's really grown on me since then. Just in time for them to throw it to the curb :lol
Their 7 series concept looks stunning though.

Looks better in person.
I can actually see more Aura in that than any current BMW, but the Aura/Insignia's concept came first.
-
that looks nice
and i fucking hate the bmw hatchback (1 series, iirc). why would anyone buy a bmw without an ass? :-\
there are better looking hatchbacks out there.
-
1 series is coupe/vert only for the US, they made it specifically for this market.
You want to know the biggest abomination in hatchbackery?

I think I have a better chance at getting a Vette for my post-graduation, post-job car. I should get one before CAFE regulations suck the fun out of buying and driving a new car...

If it starts around $26k I could see myself buying this. Any more than that and it puts it in too much competition. Then again this is an all new platform, maybe it will do better against that competition than I'm expecting.

Oh shit:

It looks more like a G35 to me.
-
Now that I checked out pics, I guess it's just the elongated side that reminds me of it. It's just the first car that popped to mind after I looked at that pic.

No, which car pictured in this topic?
CLS and C are way different btw lol. I guess you mean the Buick with the CLS, since the Buick concept is supposed to be one of those gay sedan-coupes too. But the production version will be a normal sedan.

That looks like a shoe with wheels.
Anyways, I would buy this Buick if I could afford it. I hate being cheap :(
Do you like the Z4 coupe?
