Title: prey. worth the $5

I was bored of mmorpging so i decided to play through Prey.  Really neat level designs, and some really neat puzzles.  annoying as fuck end sequence though.  the final boss wasn't so bad, but the entire level sequence previous to that was an absolute whore.

so it is worth the $5 and is probably worth the $20 or whatever it costs currently through steam.

I rented the xbox360 version a while back but never beat it, got bored

who/what was the last boss?

i thought it was good, tried to get some online achievements but i was in my "no online achievements" line of thinking so i just stopped playing and took it back (rental)

the last boss is kind of hard to explain storywise, but it's the thing controlling the sphere which came to earth to wreck shit.

it takes place on a circle and it flies above you shooting you.  there are these things which launch what are essentially dirigibles.  when it gets close to one of these dirigibles, you destroy it, taking down its shield then shooting the hell out of the boss.  it's kind of fun.

the sequence leading up to that is a series of escalating difficulty boss gauntlets

the ending says TOMMY WILL BE BACK, but it would be funny what sort of scenario he gets put in, cause he pretty much lost it all already

I finished this just the other day - I've owned it for ages and picked it up every few months to play a bit more.  Fun game with some great ideas.

They occasionally used the portals and gravity in a really inventive way.  One of the neatest bits was near the end where the rooms appear as you walk into them.  I'd love to see Prey 2 loaded full of cool stuff like that, rather than just sporadically throughout the game

Reminds me of Ninja Gaiden with it's gay turning into wind and flying off into the sunset ending.
