Think I've been doing them online for the last 5 years. I don't know of any that are completely free, but I haven't looked in years either, Turbo Tax has not steered me wrong so far.

Online is neat cause if youre getting something back all of the charges are deducted from your return, so aside from giving them a routing number n crap, there's very little to do.

I did it online with HR Block for free, but everywhere I looked you have to pay to file State taxes.  I just did those by hand and will mail them in.

I owe my state $3 and apparently have to write a check and pay $0.41 to send it to them.  Or I can pay HR Block $29.95 and they will file my taxes (according to them the state owes me $4 but I can't find whatever deduction they did that has the discrepancy.)
