zune's hardware is absolute garbage. it is without a doubt the worst software i have ever experienced, but the hardware is great. i picked up prof. layton on a whim hadn't heard of it before, but i wanted something to play while my 360 is out for repairs and hadn't bought a new ds game since contra 4,it's pretty good so far.

I hit up the Dollar Menu and McD's for a Double Cheeseburger and a small fry, because I was broke but starving (it was 3:30 and I hadn't had lunch or even breakfast for that matter).

I bought Seal's first two albums off iTunes (the 1991 and 1994 releases).
They're fantastic, I can't believe it took me 17 years to get around to his stuff. :-[

I really think it's Morrison's best ever. It goes crazy but never TOO crazy, it has an incredible structure clearly planned out years in advance (he did this well with New X-Men, too), and it's so compressed with goodness. Only 26 issues but it covers so much during that span (especially near the end, when it basically starts rushing towards the Supercontext)
-
oh, before you read Animal Man
if you are not familiar with the DC Multiverse and Crisis on Infinite Earths
you should really read:

52 is awesome, and this thread got me so stoked that I went and read about Morrison's Final Crisis.
The Fifth World dawns! Alpha Lanterns! Sonny Sumo returns along with a new team of Japanese corporate superheroes! So awesome.

Yea, i'd bet that sometime next week you'll see a gun in one of these"what did you buy threads." Got to get them while they are still legal.

preparing for the hillary win?
I would also like to point out that i am also preparing for the Mccain win if he follows most of the Bush stuff.
-
let's not derail a thread with Baron Munchausen with crap politics
i'm talking to FoC, this is well on topic with insane fantasy, thank you very much.

That's badass. I hope you post impressions when you get it. How much is the service?
I've been curious about Slingbox since I heard it advertised on the Jim Rome Show. If you had to travel for business, it seems like a godsend. Especially if you subscribe to a bunch of movie channels/hd channels, your service would always be a ton better than what you can get in hotel rooms. Plus, you get to maximize that huge satellite/cable bill by using your service everywhere.
I wonder if you could use the Slingbox on a PC and have that PC output it's video to another HDTV, how good would the quality look?
I need a slingbox and about $10,000 of disposable income :'(

Oh man I wanted to see that movie. Can't wait. :hyper
-
As far as I know, there's no cost for the service. If so, I'm in for a surprise :(
I would imagine transferring the signal from a PC to an HDTV would be as good of quality as the type of cables you're (1) connecting to your slingbox from your receiver and (2) the type of cables you're connecting from your PC to your HDTV. I imagine it would be a least common denominator, but with the possibility being component (not sure on HDMI) quality HD so long as you're using that across all sources. I could be wrong though. I might toy around with that too, since I'll be able to set it up on my laptop to watch my programming on a random house anywhere with a tv and an internet signal.
That's amazing, Slingbox on a laptop with component out. Technology is so freaking cool sometimes.
