Title: Nothing good will happen unless I make it happen.

What a depressing state of affairs.  It's like an RPG, where the plot doesn't move forward until you clear the dungeon, except that time itself still does move forward until you're too old and ugly for the dungeon and you have no choice but to either stay in the town forever or start a new game from the beginning.

I really don't get why I can't just lie in bed all day and get everything I want automatically.  The fact that I can't is pretty much a refutation of Intelligent Design all by itself.
