1- pretty bad optimization, tearing, texture pop-in, framedrops eveywhere.

2- shitty item/weapon management.

3- repetitive sidequests with the same looking rooms on the same looking barren planets just with a different color.

4- you gets loads of money but you barely spend any of it.

just like assassin's creed, the main quest is cool but in-between is shite.

The Side Quests are ass, the AI is fucktarded, and Vendors are useless. Its not perfect. But nothing is these days.

My Garrus kept dieing at the begining of each fucking room like a piece of pussy ass. Worthless. Wrex/Ashley on the other hand were ok

I like the game, but you have to wonder exactly what bioware was DOING for so long

probably swindling money from MS to make dragon age

Mass Effect is great! and 5 hours long, stretched to either an awkward 15 or an intolerable 40

The combat is completely trivial is you play as some classes and an absolute obstacle if you play as others. It serves as nothing more than a means to advance the story. Quests quickly become repetitive, 75% of the environments are copy/paste and I have no idea how the Mako made it out of QA in the shape that it did.

That said, as a package it is so thoroughly ahead of the pack and so engrossing, there is almost nothing you can do to keep me away from it.

It's not bad, it's just either so easy you don't know why they bothered or so difficult it feels broken.

all the side-missions are worthless and there aren't enough in-game events, plot twists and such for you to care much about what's going on

at the end before you go to the last level they found a cheap way to explain everything that's going on, intead of adding you know, 30-40 hours of proper content to the main game and let you discover the truth on your own as you play

the UI and the weapon system along with the stats were too dumbed down, too

and it wasn't any revolutionnary, it's still the same Bioware good vs. evil kind of RPG, the conversation system is a complete gimmick

I just wasn't feeling it either. There's a lot of open space and very few enemies. I was kind of disappointed. I thought once I left the Citadel, I'd be like a Jedi on a super grand epic adventure and it just seemed... meh.
