There is a DARKNESS video game sequel in the works. They made the announcement saying, “We can’t say DARKNESS and video game sequel in the same sentence. So, DARKNESS. Wink. Sequel.”
So, it looks like Riddick is canned(I think we all knew this though) unless Tigon Studios is going to work on it by themselves.

Groan

There was a second Darkness?
-
Shouldn't the sequel to Darkness 2 be Darkness 3?
-
Good job on fixing that title.

mindfuck

I see now. It has all become clear to me. Not that I care anyways as from what I played of the first one it didn't seem so good.

I enjoyed the Darkness for what it was. The story was nice and gritty and the atmosphere was well realised.
Not very re-playable though; I spent about 30 mins playing the online portion (after completing the single player) and never touched the game since.
For the sequel they should scrap the pointless online portion and concentrate on a tight single player campaign whilst making the guns actually useful this time.
There's more than enough online shooters to satisfy our needs. However an fps with no online segment these days is seen as a mule with no legs. Pity.

They should actually make an ending as well, that'd be nice
-
I agree the ending was non-existent. What an anti-climax.

Really enjoyed the original, but it had absolutely no replay value.
