White people are nuts about Ovechkin around here.  Noticeably bigger reactions when he scores a goal than when another Cap does it.

He's gonna be a big local celebrity for a long time.  Russian Cal Ripken.  Just watch.

well it's about time that there was a white sports hero all the gentrifiers could feel good about

it's also why the manassholes are happy to have baseball

good, wholesome, white sports.

Hey, screw you!  I was a Captain Chaos lover before he even played a snap in regular season.  I really thought he was going to be a stud from the draft.  Then he was the only newb from training camp that autographed my stuff, because nobody cared about him.
