-Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World: A Novel - Haruki Murakami - cyberpunk murakami?  this I gotta see...

-Grotesque by Natsuo Kirino - her other book "Out" was fucking awesome, this should be too.

Hard-Boiled Wonderland is Murakami's best by a good green country mile. If you like it, read Iain Banks' The Bridge.

I have bought nothing today...I am starting to get in "save" mode for my upcoming JAPAN TRIP!!

Cool, Patel, I've always wanted to visit Japan.  I don't know too much Japanese so I'd be afraid to go there on my own.

tomato cages

some new ink for my HP ink gobbling printer

boring boring boring.

....almost bought a radio controlled helicopter, but my wife talked me out of it. $200 isn't a bad deal for a starter copter...but it would be just another hobby to waste time.

That is what makes me afraid to buy one.  I have watched how to videos on YouTube but it still looks complicated as hell to get the little bastard flying.

..hell, maybe I should just get an RC Airplane.  Only problem is I can't play with it in the back yard.

I should save my money for a new DSLR though.  That is what I really want...a nice camera.

okay...that's wrong for so many reasons and on so many levels.  Who the hell would read that book and think "hmm, this would make a great comedy!"  It is absurd in a lot of ways, but not "haha" funny.

New Line Cinema has optioned “Out,” a novel by Natsuo Kirino that won Japan’s Grand Prix award for crime fiction. Hideo Nakata is attached to direct and Joe Forte will write the thriller’s script.

If Hollywood really wanted to americanize a Japanese book and do it some justice, they'd get David Lynch to adapt the Wind Up Bird Chronicle  :omg

I have a radio controller airplane, I've crashed it and not broken it. It's easy to fly too.

http://www.rcplaneguide.com/FirebirdXLCommander.html

One time the wind took it, it went across this gigantic field we were on, across a fucking forest too. We got in the car and drove up and down a few blocks past the forest and found it on the side of the road :lol

i bought GROCERIES!

yesterday i bought Sunset and Sawdust by Joe R. Lansdale

Quote
Whether he's writing Hap Collins-Leonard Pine mysteries, genre-bending horror novels, or his own blend of historical fiction and gritty country noir, cult-favorite Lansdale rarely hits a wrong note. He's a superb stylist and a first-rate storyteller, and his sandpaper wit never fails to scratch out a brand of humor that hovers somewhere between knee-slap funny and painfully revelatory. He's in his country-noir mode here, in what just may be his best novel yet. The tale begins with a hold-your-breath set piece in which red-haired beauty Sunset Jones kills her husband, Pete, who happened to be raping her at the time. Given all that, it comes as a surprise to the residents of Camp Rapture, an ironically named sawmill settlement in Depression-era East Texas, when Sunset's mother-in-law, majority owner of the mill, arranges to have Sunset replace Pete as the settlement's constable. Soon enough, Sunset--with the help of two deputies, both with romantic designs on their boss--is investigating the murder of a woman and her unborn child, a crime that may implicate Pete. Lansdale layers the mystery elements skillfully, building to an action-filled climax, but where he really shines is in his evocation of both the desperation and the determination that grew from the dirt of the Depression. Sunset is a marvelous character; you don't see many feminist heroines in the femme-fatale world of noir, which makes her emergence, her coming-of-age in an age set firmly against her, so exhilarating.

i love him and will read anything he writes

That sounds normal.

3 pairs of jeans at $40 each = $120
3 shirts at $20 each = $60
The rest goes to the boxers.

And don't listen to the haters, Uncharted is fun. But you also shouldn't listen to the rabid fanboys over at GAF. It's fun, but not the second coming of Christ as they'd like you to believe.
