It sounds as if the 360 version has some cases as well, but that is more likely an issue with individuals hardware.

You could bring a new game home and find that it would simply fail to load and you'd be stuck returning it. Those issues were uncommon enough that it didn't bother me, but it certainly kept me on edge. I remember buying Skies of Arcadia, popping in disc 1, and being disappointed that it would not read the game. :( I then inserted disc 2, which loaded, and was prompted from that point to insert the first disc. I managed to play for about 10 minutes before it crashed, but after that point, disc 1 began to load properly and I never encountered another problem with the game. Go figure...

Post by: Don Flamenco on April 29, 2008, 08:25:58 PM: Mine hasn't crashed completely yet, but in the last 20 minutes of a 2 hour session it started doing little 2 second freezes every minute or so. I have a 60gb PS3 that was bought January 2007.

I wiped off the disc (heard that sometimes blu-ray discs have some weird film left on them after they're made) and killed the PS3's internet connection since I have a torrent going on my network. Not sure which fixed it, but now the game runs fine.
