I never really noticed, but that fake band is sort of like the precursor to Dethklok.

Dr Katz by a landslide.

It had a much more consistent level of funny, and it featured Jonathan Katz in every episode.  I wish he did more appearances in Home Movies but I hear his health is poor...   :-\

Although the final episode of Home Movies did have me well up a bit, when they drove away.  Great show as well.

But Dr. Katz... even ignoring the comedic therapy scenes alone, revolves around Laura Ben and Jonathan Katz.  The Holy trinity of funny.   8)

She was great.  She dated Jon Benjamin for a while.  Their back and forth shit on that show was hilarious.  What made that show great was the semi improvised shit between the three core charachters.  So natural and genuinely funny.
