I'd rather have a short, thoroughly fun game than a long one with lots of meh.
Tomb Raider Underworld :bow
Uncharted is indeed better than GTA4. Is anyone else kinda pissed off about how heavily the missions are scripted in GTA? I tried to set up a roadblock to cheat-win one of the Brucie missions, and when I triggered the event, my barricade just disappeared. GTA doesn't let you win missions however you want anymore.yeah, it seems it relies so much on scripting now. in chase missions, even the traffic is scripted. if you replay the mission, you will see the same damn gigantic trucks blocking your way.

Has it ever been true to the sandbox principle though? Honest question, I didn't play much of Vice City or San Andreas. I remember GTA III was unparalleled in its freedom at that time, but it still felt very "set". And as I was driving around in GTA IV, I felt as if the game relied pretty heavily on artificial limitations in exploration. Which, after playing Crackdown, feels really weird.it was scripted in the old ones, but not this badly.
oh god, i hate the bikes :mafUncharted is indeed better than GTA4. Is anyone else kinda pissed off about how heavily the missions are scripted in GTA? Yeah, in one bike chase, the same crash to fuck you over happens every time you're forced to do it again.
i thought the jetski bits were uncontrollably awful
That's kind of how I feel about the whole game. The game feels very scripted and precise, but it's so well done
It's shockingly scripted, if you die you can just learn where the enemies spawn from and where they go.
The jeep section was my favourite part too though.
the jeep bit, despite totally baked and faked, was :o :o :o
Banjo 3 will be shown soon (May 13th or so they say) and Gears 2 looks :drool :drool :drool
Gears 2 looks better than the first and that's good enough for me and i got this weird feeling Banjo 3 graphics will be celshaded or something.

Fear the twist. You still got a ways to go yet before you get there but FEAR IT!
I love the game right up to thing they throw at you towards the end. Just the wrong way to go, imo.

I got on the shitlist of several of the Uncharted evangelicals after giving my, uhm, opinion of that twist.
This game is only getting better so far. the second jet ski run was way better than the first
It said I'm at 70% last night. So I figure I'll finish it today. The game is getting harder, so I like that. I'm probably going to become an Sfag. Watch.

I'm like the only guy who loved the zombies.. that's what I wanted in an island adventure. Something like that, and I got it.

Yeah, Evilbore gave this game way too much shit. Uncharted is what the Tomb Raider franchise should be.
yeah. but i fell both times. maybe i just suck at sixaxis.Quotealso, everytime i've had to balance nate on something using the sixaxis, it's sucked balls too.
that's only like twice in the game though right?
That's how I feel.QuoteIf there was no smoke monster or mysterious companies and temples and shit, it would be a boring show.
but that's the thing - it's a trilogy , it built up all this "oooh, spooky something going on" and then it spent all that atmosphere on what ended up being a Benny Hill zombie escape sequence.
for games though , it's becoming
P1 : "... and look out for the twist!"
P2 : "Ugh, so what is it? Zombies or space aliens?"
P1 : "... zombies."
P2 : "ffs"
Since when is Uncharted a trilogy? It certainly didnt lead to any sort of continuation
Why didn't you change your avatar to something with Drake or Naughty Dog, Mups?>:( Borys please don't bring neofaq AIDS to this place.
Are you a FAKE Uncharted fan?
Are you a PS3 hater?

i believe it is to be a trilogy (or at least an initial set of 3 games) - though that was from a drunken conversation from long ago.

Have you gotten to play Uncharted yet, Borys? It looks better than Crysis
Are we done making fun of me?I love you :heartbeat
Good.
Too many pirates. It's absolutely inexcusable how many pirates they put in this game. I killed somewhere in the neighborhood of ten trillion pirates. So dumb.I really wish there had been more platforming and exploring and a little less shooting. But it was good :D
