is this Wii really looking out for me?
Like I had some spare time earlier so I thought id finally give Mario Kart Wii a go...
I got the wheel out of the box, broke the plastic wrap on the game disk box and pushed power on the Wii-mote...nothing....look over at the Wii and see that there is no light on....i unplug it from the power strip, plug it into another outlet, etc... nada...i reseat every single cable - nada...
i unplug it unhook it and pull it out expecting im gonna need to RMA it to nintendo....in the other room i try one last time plugging in the power adaptor and plugging it into the wall - voila the red light is on.
I put it back in its place and hook it back up - red standby light is on - everything looks good...
Problem is I wasted too much time with that shyt and had no time to play.
Is MArio Kart Wii that bad? So bad that Jacob is making me not play it?

it's eh. better to play with some friends.

It's a fun game, especially with friends and online.

I finally got around to playing it and I rather like it.
The controls work allot better than I could have expected - much much better than Toy Home - the wiimote tilt steering is tight and perfect I say.
Just what MarioKart needed to feel fresh since the rest of it is largely the same.
How do I send a messageboard invite to people in my address book?

Played online today, it's the best implementation of online yet from a Nintendo game, even though that's not saying much at all.. I enjoy the controls, yeah, but some of the powerups are just plain annoying. The POW block, the Lakitu that zaps you, the Bullet Bill autopilot, and of course the damn blue shells... shit was always random in Mario Kart games, but this time you can go from 12 to 2 and back to 12th place in an instant, it's a bit too much.

I hated those blue shells in Mario Kart DS, it seems like they're even worse in this version from what I've read.
