Gee, I guess publishers sometimes LISTEN when fans complain. DON'T SWALLOW THEIR STUPID BULLSHIT WITHOUT A FIGHT!

If only the game had harsher copy protection!

It will go well with the 1,000,000 that already sold on the Xbox. I think.

I have some games from boutique publishers (Battlefront, Matrix Games) with far more annoying DRM than what Mass Effect was going to have. Also, it is somewhat important to note that I never praised the DRM, but sort of accepted it as part of the evolution of the big budget single player PC game.

yeah I read the IGN review and it looks great. We'll see about getting a PSP soon, saving up for a HUGELY expensive trip early next year so we're sorta not living it up too much atm.

really bad DRM like the one that made morrowind chug (i think that was the game) until you cracked it, and stuff like bioshock always makes me wary.
i bought bioshock over steam because i remember reading about the horrific DRM experiences peole were having with the boxed version

Honestly, direct downloads seems the only way to got with pc games.

It's good? :O
I remember there was some negative impressions on GAF so I didn't know what to think, though the game's concept is awesome

the steam version had the same DRM as the boxed one with respect to the inital dial-home activation stuff
Interestingly enough, it was the DISC-BASED DRM OF TOTAL AWFULNESS that was so terrible for morrowind. I'd happily let every game dial home every 10 mintues if it meant no disc swapping, there is no worse DRM than having to put in a god damn disc to play a game when you play as much stuff as I do (and have more than one multiplayer staple that needs disc checks, thanks Microsoft and EA).

it's really good and really deep. gaf is full of fuckwits who need pie-eyed fantasy stereotypes to digest their tactics
