Title: Jesus christ, does this board have the most advanced forum software or what?

Embedding youtube, quotes linking to the actual message, smilies, hours logged in, warning you someone has posted in the time it took you to reply, showing which topics you've posted in,tables, stats etc.

Is there something more sci-fi out there?

Only thing I need is a text link on top and bottom of page to the different forums. Drop down menus are too much work for my lazy ass.

We actually could do more, but we've had to turn off a lot of stuff because of obnoxious posters.

There are also simple things that this software doesn't incorporate that other boards have had since forums existed, which is a little frustrating.  I do like it, though.

mostly standard features, I added a few back when i was admin but most forums have them nowadays

neogaf has things limited to reduce server stress, they really need to

As dysfuntional as OA is, they have a really nice interface and lots of awesome emoticons.

We used to have embedded flash until the motherfucking distinguished mentally-challenged Particle Reality ruined it for all of us.  I still think it would have been wiser to ban his ass than to strip us of an awesome feature.

Prole said he was gonna work on implementing some feature to turn off images when logged out or something (lyte edge and I requested it back when Synbios was constantly spamming porn)...I wonder if he ever did anything with that.

Isn't it possible to restrict certain features to users? Like with polls?

one of the best features is you can set it to take you to the index after a reply instead of reloading the same thread...saves a lot of time

Nah, actually it's a bit sloppy w/ it's auto fills and what not. IMO. But it does the trick.
