REARDAN, Washington (AP) -- Small service stations are running into a problem as gasoline marches toward $4 a gallon in the United States: Thousands of old-fashioned pumps can't register more than $3.99 on their spinning mechanical dials.

lol that's kinda funny but it sucks for those stations that are just scraping by, wonder what they will do...
edit: It's like y2k for gas stations

Probably double the rate?
1 gallon = 2usd, where 2 usd = 4usd ajusted, or something like that.
A lot of gas stations can't afford new pumps, but they'll figure it out (or go out of business - either or).
