GOW PC had many terrible performance and stability issues until the most recent patch, which didn't come out until 4-5 months after it was released.

I had one specific issue, which was the deletion of game saves. That was tied to the Windows Live shit though. The game itself performed very well, barring three or so software crashes.
There're a few games that aren't alt-tab friendly but none of them had ever destroyed my save.
