I just got the Werner and Christian Bale movie from Netflix (don't remember what its called), is it any good? Grizzly Man and Little Dieter Learns to Fly  were both pretty good documentaries.

If it were anyone but Nic Cage, I'd be at least curious.  I don't think the movie needs to be remade, but attaching Herzog's name to it makes me at least curious.  Now, if it were Herzog and Zombie Kinski. . .

I sort of agree with this.  Bad Nicolas Cage movies are often doomed before filming begins -- Cage's involvement generally makes them entertaining, at the very least.  His presence is almost never a negative.  That said, I can't provide defense for Next, World Trade Center or Windtalkers.
