Title: i'm going to the park now
Post by: bud on May 14, 2008, 08:01:37 PM
apparently, the word ''cigarillo'' is used freely in the gay and hetero community and has lost its venom in the past decade

(...)

and i know it means cigarette but who on eb uses it that way? and i thought this was funny: ''we've asked from day one that the racism being toned down to an acceptable level''

this is really gay

thankfully i can still be racist towards asians

filthy eleven scum

slightly off topic but I strongly believe censorship in most forms is wrong

I do not believe that if we got rid of it in all forms chaos would ensue as some would have us believe

Hasn't the word n*gger lost much of its venom within the past several years too? I mean you see the darkies calling each other as well as non-negroes that word all the time. Wtf?

Double standard? Seems so.

i've been called a distinguished black fellow about 3 or 4 times in my lifetime. Two occurred while in the south, once in Howell (which is basically KKK, Michigan), and once on a bus with my old Christian basketball team  :lol

Hey, check this out, if you want to use the word so badly, I will be happy to send you to Opa-Ages.  The end!

Not all derogatory terms are created equal.  Some offend the community, some don't.  That does.  There's not much more to discuss.  We have a pretty laid back atmosphere, but you can't say whatever you want.  If you don't like it, you're free to leave.  We don't even ban the use of the word.  If folks creatively get around the censor, it usually results if everyone ignoring that poster and no more.  But the censor is in place so it's not easy for people to spam it, get out of hand in racial discussions, etc.
