well sadly it's from japanese scans so it's a no show here but it looks like a topdown adventure in zelda style...
somebody find the scans
-
I haven't seen the scans, but I am guessing that it will be similar to those GBA games. Basing it on Dragon Ball is awesome and has me more interested in it.
and Legends needs to be ported to the DS or PSP already.
Is it cool to post scans here? I've seen them before, so I'll post them and edit out if needed.

Look nice for DS.
-
It reminds me of Final Fantasy Ring of Fate

Hey it's Blue Dragon.
I thought the same thing and then I remembered the design is by the same artist and Dragonball is older chronologically. So Blue Dragon is actually more like Dragonball.
-
Sweet, my son is going to love it.
-
I like how they censor out Bulma's vagina using the gap between the screens.
-
Hey it's Blue Dragon.
I see what you did there :rofl
-
That is fucking awesome, I'm all over it. They need to make more modern Dragonball games...Advance Adventure wasn't bad!
-
This looks better than Blue Dragon DS...

Good to see that they're making another game based off the original (and better) Dragonball. I agree that Dragonball Advance Adventure was pretty good. Fluid animation, decent music, spot on controls, and a good variety in gameplay and level design. Worth playing if you can find it cheap.

Going off-topic, but Dragonball as a whole is not bad. The comics are all great, and yes that includes the "Z" stuff. It's the cartoon that's all slow-paced, boring, and inconsistent in art style and animation. This is rather typical of most comic-to-anime adaptions if you ask me; the only one I have ever liked as much (actually more) than the original is Azumanga Daioh.
I don't know if it got an official English release, but check out the 14th Dragonball movie. It's a condensed retelling of the original Dragonball story with some great animation. Fun to watch.

I agree with most of what you said with the exception of the 14th/10th anniversary movie. All it had going for it was the animation while everything else was pretty bad.
and I do think that the Dragon Ball anime turned out pretty good for the most part. DBZ was also good until the Freiza arc where it started getting way too slow.

Looks more fun than Phantom Hourglass.
-
Looks good for a DS game.

This game has been announced for both the US and Europe. It is going to be out in November.

Buy it because the commercial is awesome.
-
I'm really interested in this, and I usually don't touch any DB games. It looks really well-made. And that commercial is 100% accurate.
-
DB > DBZ. Count me in!
-
DB > DBZ
This is true.

This actually looks like it could be one of the best DS games.
