Title: Should I buy Rock Band?

I intitially considered Rock Band too novelty and too goofy for my person. Fake musical equipment? But now my wife is interested and I took a second look and the tracklist is like molten hot and I'm thinking about it. What's the EB rundown on this? As someone who absolutely played the shit out of Guitar Hero 1, would I enjoy this?

Agreed.  Single guys buy games like this to increase the odds of getting laid, so you should too.

A close friend, who's a semi-regular gamer, and his wife who doesn't touch games at all bought this, and they play it religiously every night. I swear it's all they do now.

I thought about this, but given that the BUY IT NOW enticement was Sublime, The Eagles and Linkin Park, well. There are 3 songs I won't be playing.

I wish. I was the doctor finding out if I have Malaria. RB will probably have to wait a few weeks, I still owe people some scratch.

GH3 is only 60 bucks at Amazon today.

I'm modestly afraid GH4 will be better, but seriously doubt it. I hope RB2 doesn't introduce like. A theremin or some shit.

Rock Band is one of my favorite games of the last five years. It's great, and it has a decent difficulty curve. Prior to RB, I completely failed at every rhythm game known to man, but starting with Easy bass, and moving up, I now can play all the Medium songs, and a few on Hard.

Buy it. You'll be happy, but your wife will be happier. Which, um, is some kind of virtuous cycle.
