-
It's just this game, you know?
-
I hope that it is Diablo 3 and it comes out soon so that people can stop spamming "wut PC game to get??????" threads with the yarringly antiquated Diablo 2.
-

Diablo 2 is still the King, baby.
If you haven't migrated to Titan Quest, Diablo II is only the king if you are taking nostalgia into account, and you'd probably bitch that D3 isn't as good as 2 anyway.

same. played it quite a bit because friends were into it. But meh

The only time I really got addicted to Diablo 2 was when I had a broken left thumb. I was still able to click over and over with my right hand!

I can't go back and play it. The acts of the game were always are really up and down in quality (the biggest challenge in any diablo 2 replay is making it through act 2 and 3 without falling asleep), the game is missing tons of what I now consider "essential" loot and level RPG features, and it looks really AWFUL, it looked dated when it came out but now the low-res everything is even more of an eyesore with our fixed-resolution displays. The closed server multiplayer model is an unregulated, casual-unfriendly mess at this point, with powerleveling and a cryptic barter economy the norm.
I'd like to see Diablo 3 with the same sort of area/level polish as a game like WoW, with a WoW-styled item auction house and closed economy with a actual measurable currency, Mythos/Hellgate style hub grouping, and at least 2005-era graphics that actually scale to real people resolutions and don't like like feces filtered through a dirty sock. Oh, and skill respecs so I can actually experiment with my character instead of going with fixed, web-posted builds every time in the worry that I might be gimping myself.

PSO Blue Burst > Diablo 2.

Despite the tough time I always give Blizzard ( I view them as the Nintendo of the PC realm, often given a free pass out of nostalgia by gamers and press alike), I really can't wait to play Starcraft 2.

if it does not have a complete and robust offline component, no sale

Even if all those complaints were valid (ugly GFX ?!? no respeccing ?!?) it doesn't change one thing: Diablo 2 is still the King. It hasn't been replaced yet. It is still the digital crack of pre-WoW era.
yes BUT WHAT IS IT

I can't wait to see what the Ghost team's been up to since they got moved over to Wii development

Sorry but TQ doesn't hold a candle to D2 when it comes to end game content. TQ is nice but Diablo 2 will just keep you coming back for more and more. What I personally dislike the most about TQ is that the map is not randomized so it will always look the same every time, gets kinda boring the third time around.
Also Pharmacy please drop the shitposting shtick, it's not funny. Keep that to YCS.
-
TQ doesn't have randomized maps? Shit I should check this out then. I am not a fan of random dungeons.
