well the good news is that Anchor Bay will release 5 different versions over the next few years, so i'm certain you'll be able to get a better edition

Yeah the transfer for Evil Dead II was pretty lacking. Granted I did compare it to my tinbox transfer and it does look cleaner than that version, but my expectations have been set pretty high by 2001 that I'm a bit disappointed that Anchor Bay couldn't have done better with that and Dawn of the Dead. Maybe on the 3rd rerelease they'll get it right.

the re-releases of their dario argento stuff looks nice, but the inclusion of The Card Player is a bit odd.

I think WB releases are far and away the cleanest ive seen, next to disney I think. Unforgiven looks pretty awesome too.
