I enjoyed it, aside from the constant Assassin's Creed style enemy mobfests towards the end. It's a shame this series is dead.
-
I gotta try this out. The first Maximo was probably the best platformer of last gen.
-
I like this way better than the first just because I'm not penalized for saving.
It deserved a lot more attention, it takes a shit on B-grade action games like Rygar.
-
mmmmm, maximo
still my favorite platformers of last gen
-
First one was badass, though I was always annoyed with how they teased the Ghosts n' Goblins theme in the first couple of stages. It grated on me much in the same way "shave and a haircut" gets to Roger Rabbit. The sequel seemed to improve upon it in every way (except graphics which seemed to take a hit due to all the action happening on the screen), but I never got a chance to finish it.

Oh, the other complaint is that there are only maybe 10 different enemy types in the game, and 4 of those only appear in one or two levels. So you see the same bunch of dudes over and over again.

Both games are so awesome. the save system in the first didn't bother me, i had a surplus of tokens when i finished it.
-
I always meant to pick these games up. These and Sly Cooper.
-
Sly Cooper is still on my to-buy list.
-
Only buy the first Sly. The rest suck ass.
-
Maximo (I think I have the first one), and Sly 2 are in my backlog.
*sigh*

There will be a Maximo 3 some day. I can feel it.
