Yep, nice static everything, worthless A.I. from hell and v-sync so impressive that it makes you feel like you're looking at three different games at the same time. Fucking shitty shit consoles from hell holding everything back, I HATE you.

It'll be interesting to see this come together though. It'll be a mess.

I like how RTS console releases stay the hell behind PC releases as not to taint their potential greatness. FPS games on the other hand :( :(

framerate is terrible.  sometimes it looks like they're falling in slow motion when they die.

but some of the a.i halfway through the video actually looks pretty decent.  they work together and whatnot.

Some of the stuff looks pretty cool, but it's going to get old real fast. How many times can you get your ass saved before it becomes a dull event? And then Ubi, the company that just doesn't believe in polishing games and can't get even relatively limited games right, is behind this open world game. And it's being held back by consoles. Fuck this shit, fuck it in the ass with a barbed dildo.

I like how RTS console releases stay the hell behind PC releases as not to taint their potential greatness. FPS games on the other hand :( :(

The crazy thing is that I bet this game, the retail version, will have insane PC requirements in order to even reach the level of detail in the console versions. That's how much Ubishit sucks.

Shitty console FPS made for $4M sells at least 1-1.5M copies. That's $90M vs $4M return of investment.

Great PC FPS made for $10M sells 100-400K. That's $20M vs $10M return of investment.

Guess which pays off more.

That really shouldn't matter though. If there is going to be a PC version at all, it'd make sense to at least make it a showcase for the platform. Of course, Ubi doesn't have a genuine interest in the PC version, other than it being good for promotion. Ubi has used the PC version of this game to garner early hype, and some of us were daft enough to actually believe that the company meant what it said when it talked about developing a PC game that really pushed the platform. Of course, it will still technically push the platform due to being a buggy, half-assed mess of ambition and loose brilliance with botched execution.

Never trust Ubi, ever.

AC would be the main reason not to trust Ubi to get this, or anything else, right. Absolutely pathetic NPC and "crowd" behavior, repetitive tasks and gimmicky highlights all up its bug infested fucking ass, AC is everything that is god damn shit wrong with everything. All that ambition monkeyed the fuck up by a worthless developer. Motherfuckers should be publicly flogged and possibly skinned for releasing such horrendous tripe.

Crysis is a groundbreaking uber-FPS designed specifically to take advantage of a high end platform. If EA wants to push Crysis Instincts (yes, it's already been established that it's not the same game), then more power to EA. Long live EA.

ya know, while I don't doubt there are bugs in the game (as there are bugs in pretty much every game) and I don't argue that it was repetitive or the AI was dumb, but what bugs did you actually encounter?  because I have played that game for ~20-25 hours and I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs on the 360.

i can see how someone can hate the game.  repetitive as balls "if he hurts himself, i won't help him" "can you spare some change, sir?"

I've played AC for about 70 hours and came across one bug in that time where a guard ran in a circle.  I just didn't really find it to be a bug-ridden game.

AA - while I think you have great taste (what with loving Dead Space and GRID), we of course have to disagree on this one.

Incredibly awesome game but you really need to be in an active squad to get the Chromehound experience.  Summer of 2006, Chromehounds was where it was at.  Best online console game ever.

Crysis The Brilliant vaporizes every other FPS that has ever been made. Except in the sales war, that is. :(

The shitty thing is that on a conceptual level, it sounds awesome. Far Cry open ended gameplay with lots of fire, and no trigens. I guess I can pray that this will be Ubi's new Chaos Theory; a quality product across several platforms. But, you know, hahaha.  :(

Far Cry 2 single-player "close to 50 hours"
Quote
The single-player campaign in FarCry 2 alone could keep gamers occupied for up 50 hours, says the game's producer, Louis-Pierre Pharand.

We knew, just by looking at the game's enormous free-roaming environments, that it would be big, but 50 hours is epic. You can take a look at the official trailer here.

"Just on single alone, gamers can potentially have close to 50 hours of game play," Pharand told CVG, when we asked if he'd considered adding a co-op mode to the game.

"We decided to abandon it for this instalment simply because of the complexity and size of the game," he said. "Add the Multi experience & the Map Editor... gamers will have their money's worth with FarCry2."

I'll admit it, this looks pretty nice. Still with the god damned screen tearing though, and don't tell me that it will be ironed out before release. This is Ubisoft.

I'm not a PC fanboy or anything. But the consoles aren't handling this well.

The tearing and framrate issues are just terrible.

framerate is pretty bad.  the first explosion of that hut looked like slow motion.  but still, i can't wait.  i'm sure the framerate will at least be fixed a bit, but i totally expect the screen tearing to stay.

Crysis meets Afrika (lol) meets STALKER (I hope).  Looks hot!  Hopefully it won't be impossible to run the PC version without such godawful tearing.  I've heard the AC port runs really well on PC, so I'm optimistic.

Doesn't that game have pretty insane hardware requirements on PC though? Seeing this run on Xshit 360 and Crapstation 3, I'd certainly assume that my PC should capable of running it at high quality settings, ample antialiasing, with buttery smooth framerate and vsync enabled. If not, then Ubi has failed.

I think it has high min requirements but I've heard reports of 60fps with vsync so I assumed it didn't take a total god machine.  I generally assume if a game runs on consoles without vastly downgraded graphics, a good PC should be able to handle at least higher res, v-sync, and greater than 30fps.  GRID and The Club demos run much better on my PC than on the 360 (where they're still pretty smooth).
