Title: Ugh, uh, my mouth got stuck open

This has sort of happened in the past, but now it was just stuck open for a few minutes straight.

This started happening after my car accident.  The right side of my jaw will sometimes click very loudly, and it feels weird.  On numerous occasions it has gotten stuck for a second or two, but I sneezed a few minutes ago and it was bad, very bad.  It felt like if I tried to force my mouth close, the right side of my lower jaw would break.  I eventually got it back into place by slowly moving my jaw back and forth a little.  I foresee this leading to much comedy in the future.

I'm torn on whether to go for the obvious punchline or nag you about seeing a doctor.

So pretend I did both in a hilariously crass yet empathetic way.

I've actually talked with a doctor on this one.  Since it's not medical lockjaw (as in this is not a muscle or nerve thing, it actually has to do with my jaw being chipped or whatever), it would require relatively invasive surgery to rectify.  It's not enough of a problem that I'd scribble out two weeks of my calendar to get it fixed.

I had the exact same problem a couple years ago, TVC.  It fixed itself after a couple days.  This happened after I took a nasty spill on my bike.  I would've gone to the doctor if it persisted.

Maybe you're just evolving.  Snakes have the ability to unhinge their jaws to eat huge meals.  Try eating MAF, see if it works.

Once in 8th grade my neck was stuck for 4 days. I had to walk around with my ear touching my shoulder for the whole time.
