The SSBB part was uneccesary, as liking anime is enough by itself to denote faggotry

You guys suck. My brother is gonna unlock Ganondorf soon.
-
Maybe he'll unlock your post-op results, YOU SICK FUCK

It feels a lot more like Smash Bros. on 64 than it does Melee. It's clunky and slow, and to resolve those issues players find ridiculously obscure exploits in the gameplay (which aren't even comparable to wavedashing, which isn't an exploit). Or maybe the formula's just getting stale for me because I don't care to play it. Waste of $50 IMO.

Worst character in the game. :lol

Yep. They removed a ton of things that gave Melee some degree of depth and turned it into a party game. And tripping? Who came up with that idea? :yuck
-
I like it better than Melee. Cry more, tourneyfags, half of you just wanted to see Krystal wavedash out of your screen and into your stained pants.
-
I could never do wavedashing to begin with, so I don't give a shit. But the change in speed made me sad. :(

Just wait until get R.O.B., he's bad ass.

:rofl I don't even remember wavedashing.

I didn't particularly care that wavedashing was out, but as a legitimate exploit (if that's what you want to call it) it was replaced by a thousand others that are worse than anything I've seen in Melee. Plus, the game is a thousand times slower, almost as slow as the N64 version. :'(

It actually seems slower than even that to me.

Smash Bros Brawl was a weird thing for me. I really liked it back when it first came out and played a lot before just stopping. I didn't touch it after the first two weeks. Not to long ago I was at a friends house and we started playing and after two matches I had to stop because I was bored out of my mind. I don't think I would be burnt out of it so quickly. I would blame the fact that I played Melee a lot also and Brawl is essentially the same thing, but I never got tired of playing Street Fighter 3 and I used to play SF2 and the Alpha games a lot. Then again, Smash Brothers isn't a fighting game, but still.

Junpei, you ever take baths with your brother? Which one of you is older? Have you shown him how it works?

That was such a neogaf post.
Smash Bros isn't a fighting game, but it isn't worth discussing why those who think it is are wrong. I can't believe how long and pointless discussions about that can get on other forums.
-
I unlocked all of the characters, but I haven't played much since then.
I blame Subspace Emissary for that.
-
you fight, therefore it is a fighting game. don't see what their is to argue about
-
It's a lot slower, but more technical than Melee. I don't know which one I like more.
Viz, don't argue with them. They ignant.
-
not arguing!
-

Yeah, as I said in my previous post, I don't really want to have a discussion about this because we are both so ignorant that our opinions are not going to change even with the most earth shattering points.
-

Ick. He is. Um,I'm unsure of what you're exactly talking about...
I'm gonna unlock Sonic soon!
-

clarification: smash bros is not a good fighting game

I'll settle for that.

Well, more so than wavedashing, I don't like what they did to air-dodging... I prefer the ability to air-dodge in a direction, and I liked how Melee ran faster and was less floatier... also, a lot of the new levels in Brawl are kinda crappy, I was disappointed with them... New Pork City and Spear Pillar in particular are 2 of the worst Smash levels ever. But the amount of content and awesome new characters puts it ahead of Melee for me. Not as perfect as it could have been but still fuck-amazing.

Ban this filth and move this discussion of a non-game from the gaming forum, plz.

Wrong piece of software you're thinking of? SSBB is a bad game, not a non-game.
-
While it's certainly not the game of forever some folks made it out to be prior to its release, SSBB *fart* was damn good fun for about a month. My lady and I played SSE into the early hours of the morning. Everyone here knows what the real GoF is on Wii...

I just like generalizing and calling all non-Fire Emblem Wii games non-games.
-
I bought this game...I didnt get to play it till 3-4 weeks later.
I played it once.
the end

SSBB = Crappy fan service
It is just Melee + updated graphics + useless shit. It is so slow that if a certain move was performed, grass grows faster than it takes characters to move from one side of the screen to the other. Plus the fucked online mode...
Realizing it sucked and I wanted nothing more with it, my roommates and their friends tried playing it (they were Melee freaks) and hated Brawl. So now it just sits at the bottom of the Wii game pile and is a backup coaster if there are enough people at my place.

"zomg my shiek and captain falcon r nerfed noez"

Basically how it works out for me, although I definitely don't hate the game; of course I wouldn't say anything at GAF because I'd get dogpiled on by the anti-tourney snobs and have to suffer through a million "Y IS THERE ALWAYS A BACKLASH" posts.
Will Nintendo not be able to top Mario Galaxy this gen? (Mario Galaxy was fucking incredible; I should revise the question to read: will Nintendo ever be able to top Mario Galaxy in future generations?)

:rofl :rofl

Casualfag = anyone who doesn't treat a Nintendo character fighting game as SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Have you guys heard about the advanced mindgames in the Super Smash Bros. metagame?
"I'm using Marth!"
"I'm using Fox!"
"I'm going to do something unexpected!"
"OMG this is high level tourney play!"

I actually quite like this new style of thinking.
Fuck those anti-PC snobs!
But....it IS a fighting game...right?
It is a game that contains fighting.

Actually I threw that out there because I mentioned I preferred Melee's faster play; your response was "lulz tourneyfags" which doesn't really deflect criticisms of Brawl's slow, floaty mechanics. Which is fine if you prefer party games to fighting games.

Mario Galaxy is probably going to be the best Nintendo game that will come out on Wii. Very early to call, yes, but three other huge franchises came out (Zelda, SSB, Mario Kart) and none were as good or polished as Galaxy. I'm not holding out much hope for a Galaxy 2 on Wii either.

I don't see a Galaxy 2 coming out either, but I'm pretty convinced that there will be a proper Zelda on Wii. But if the quality of recent Zelda games indicates some sort of trend, then there's no way Zelda Wii will even approach Galaxy's quality and creativity.
