Someone tell me what happens, I don't plan to buy a PS3, this game or watch the 200 hours of cutscenes on YouTube

What the fuck. Why is this game's story so fucking convoluted? I've played the last 3 and those spoilers made no sense.

I know. I wouldn't be so pissed about it if it weren't for the fact that Kojima apparently hates his old games so much as to totally disregard huge portions of them.

Like MGS 1 is great. It has a few twists, some hints of a conspiracy, fratracide, cool Ninjas, big robits, whatever. Then MGS2 is about who the fuck knows and MGS3 is great because it's about WAR AND MEN, but it also introduces ONE HUNDRED MILLION PAGES OF NONSENSICAL BACKSTORY and MGS4 is just distinguished mentally-challenged because it's not about THE AWESOMENESS OF SPYS AND WARS but some bullshit conspiracy game only manchildren with 15 hours a day to delve into the mythos can handle.
