Broadcast looks interesting.
I'm downloading Haha Sound right now.
I haven't heard that album yet, but you should definitely check out the album Tender Buttons too. it's generally considered their best (and I certainly can't stop listening to it.)

If you don't like either of these, then don't bother trying the album.

Fleet Foxes' new album is killer, and I'll never turn down an opportunity to pimp Math and Physics Club.
:punch Seattle bands :punch
-
Sukia - Contacto Espacial del Tercer Sexo
-
Listen to the guy in my avatar. First album.
-
Ecstatic Sunshine, Minimal Punk from Baltimore. First CD was two guitars. Second release was an EP where they added a drummer.
OCDJ - Candy Crunk from Baltimore. Imagine if a madman ran into the inner city replacing all the guns with lollipops and all the pit bulls with kittens and skrew faces with smiley faces.
Or you can always Funk The War with a 2 Hour mix of upbeat, up tempo revolutionary music I made for a musical march/protest for DC back in March.

Greatest band ever.

This is pretty old so I'm not sure why I'm recommending it other than it's one of the few true classic albums to come out of the techno scene. Melds dub and dance better than anything I've heard before or since. Heavy enough for metal fans too!
-
You dig Enigma, maji? The artist I'm about to post was part of Enigma up to the mid 90's (I believe). His name is Jens Gad...
Aureole

Vivir

Les Eaux Verts

The 3 tracks are off either Achillea 1 or 2 or Le Spa Sonique, all great albums.
-
I've been listening to Seal the last few months. I'm kinda late to the party by nearly 20 years, but I started with his first two albums and they're great.
-
FFS someone else listen to Bettie Serveert

I loved this disc when I was in high school, I could imagine its dated as fiuck now. I go back a bit further when I want to listen to retro dance tunes, Ive been cranking the Roger Morales and Frankie Knuckles etc. Acid House :rock
-
Nah, Leftism still holds up very well. Saved by its own lack of singular direction.
-
yeah I'll defintiely give it a relisten shortly.. I imagine Rhythm and Stealth still holds up pretty well. Minimal slamming stuff is generally fairly timeless
-
Scenester - After you relisten to Leftism, remember to come back here and post about how completely you owned yourself :p

Check this shiz out. 2 hours of hot electro sex by MSTRKRFT. Unf.
This is my favorite song from it so far, it's a remix of ACDC's Thunderstruck by Crookers:

Hell yeah, love the 80's house... Frankie Knuckles, Inner City, Phuture... all good shit.

Aweessome. Good shit man. :bow :bow

I semi-owned myself in regards to Leftism, the non-vocal tracks are good but anything with vocals/lyrics is fucking horrible. I hate distinguished mentally-challenged allegorical shit, has no place in dance music. Thats why I like hardcore so much
-
Groo - would that be "Goodbye" from 2007 or the remix album from this year? Or something else? I intend to cheggit out
-
30 seconds to Mars - From Yesterday
The Smashing Pumpkins - Anything from Melancholy and earlier
311 - Soundsystem
Tool - Lateralus
Bullet for My Valentine - The Poison
Evans Blue - The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends
The Killers - Sam's Town
Megadeth - Rust In Piece
Living Colour - Vivid
-
oh yeah Dragonforce are fucking awesome, Ive been listening to them pretty hard lately
other good bands:
m83
LCD Soundsystem (saw them live earlier this year on ecstasy, was so sososo good)
My Bloody Valentine
uhhhh I like lots of music but I cant think of anything else right now
-
Oh Kate Bush! I always recommend her, I forgot too this time. Listen to The Kick Inside, The Dreaming and The Sensual World :omg . Its a bit more effeminate, estrogen levels can be too high but its still yummy.
The Sensual World (self titled track)

And my absolute favorite Kate Bush track... Night of the Swallow

It's cool dude. Many of my friends think the same as you. But I like what I like even when I know some of it is cheesy.
-
Oh tell me about it bro. I have a techinically terrible taste in music but Im still very high and mighty about it
Some embarrassing things I listen to:
Real McCoy
Aqua
Vengaboys
N-Sync
all sorts of other trashy euro pop and Italo Disco
all that corny latino 'Freestyle Dance'
and I fucking hate hate hate:
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
The Doors
Bob Dylan
but I really like:
Nick Cave
Jimi Jendrix
yeah I dont know aye, I do like lots of 'good' music too, but Im just very particular
-
heellllllll noo :piss The Eagles :piss2
I hate it when youre a a party or something and people insist on playing that soft as kleenex tissue 'classic rock' like Starship and Doobie Brotheres and shit
If Im drinking and smoking and shit I wanna be hearing hard rap, tough electro or metal or something like that
-
all sorts of other trashy euro pop and Italo Disco
all that corny latino 'Freestyle Dance'
how DARE you
-
Some of the first music-listening I recall doing as a kid was listening to Hot 103.5 (now Hot 97, an infamous NYC rap station) where they would play all this freestyle and 80's synthpop, it was awesome.

Goddamn this album rules.

The only 'new' things I really listen to on a semi-regular basis.
Hopefully distinguished black fellow will be great/good/okay/passable.

i just got the first EP from Baltimore Band Teeth Mountain.
my god it's some crazy ass next level shit
this is NOT that album. This is someone's compilation of freely available Teeth Mountain tracks
it's drone dance with severe tribal and world rhythm influences and it's truly some next level shit
