Starting to get the shits with this
RACE TO THE NAVAL YARD
RACE TO THE NAVAL YARD
RACE TO THE NAVAL YARD
RACE TO THE WIND FARM
RACE TO THE NAVAL YARD
NONE of the burning laps are near anything you'd ever use a shitty car for either. So you drive all the way there, end up in bumfuck paradise city in a shit car and drive ALL THE WAY BACK to try it again? EPIC FAIL
If I could at least warp to a previously tried event I'd be ok with it.

I like playing it for an hour or so but after that the lack of immediacy for certain events is a killer. Driving across the map to do a burning route, failing and then having to drive back again sucks.

someone make a topic for me to post in, about how saints row > gta4

VINDICATION. It's like an A++++++ game for the first 3 hours. Then a B+ game for 2 hours. Then a C game for 1 hour and then you never play it again

I've played it for almost 40 hours and am still enjoying it greatly. Sometimes the having to drive back thing can get annoying, but usually I just took the opportunity to do something different. Most of the time if they ask you to drive out to the west side of the map, you just grab another event out there, and it asks you to drive back to the east side of town. This criticism is really blown out of proportion IMO.

Exactly. I got pissed off too early on when I kept trying to do the same event over and over. Just do whatever event is closest to you, unless its a shitty stunt run.

This game really would have benefited from an option to restart failed missions. The logic Criterion used was that they wanted you to travel around and do other missions if you failed one but what happens if your doing a Burning route that only allows 5 seconds worth of error you fucks? Yeah, I have to keep driving doing it OVER and OVER and OVER again, until the missions surrounding the end of that route become used up and I just have to drive back anyways.
Annoying as fuck, but I did enjoy the hell out of it when I opened up the special edition of a certain car. You really need to have some OCD to enjoy this game.

Yep. The game basically encourages you to play differently. In previous games, you would just retry events over and over again until you nailed them. That's not necessarily a bad thing (I enjoyed it), but it was clear that they wanted to create something different. I just kind of move from event to event regardless of whether I was successful the first time. I'd say the problems only really crop up when you have very few events remaining.
It's a flawed system, but not a bad attempt.

I didn't say I was the Day 1 dude, I just remembered his thread from a few weeks ago where I was like, "You'll probs be bored" and he was all, "Nah", but now he's like "I see the light" and we're all one happy family, Demi.

I only still have it because of the free DLC coming. I want Road Rage online.
