ew.

If it were only in shades of gray or brown it would look next-gen.
-
i bet it looks great in motion.
-
i bet it looks great in motion.
it does. the trailers look great and someone was saying on GAF that the colors of the shots are off. Anyways, I think it looks pretty good.
-
I may get this
You know - I dig starwars videogames more than the movies.
-
don't think it looks too bad. i know dick all about this game, but the shots make it look like it could play like jedi knight - which would be awesome
-
it's hard to remain neutral about this game when you know that it destroyed Lucasarts
-
euphoria physics in this game will rock again
-

What?
-
uh, they fired 100 people last week?
and they're firing everyone else once this game finishes.
and then never making another game again.
-
I somehow doubt that it's all related to this game, which will probably sell pretty well.
-
well, believe what you want
-

You're right, it's related to the other games they still haven't shipped :lol
-
Why would they fire everybody over one game? It's tracking well too. The only feasible reason I could possibly see is that they're losing huge money, but isn't LucasArts buoyed by the rest of Lucas' dumb companies?
-
"We're committed to our internal studio," Lucas rep Margaret Grohne told Joystiq. "We're working on the next Indiana Jones game internally."
-
Lucasarts is over...
-
sorry patel, willco wins this one considering he's actually an Industry Insider

smh at GameSpot industry analysis

But I thought this game was going to be awesome? How can it kill Lucas Arts when it's gonna be awesome?
It's still gonna be awesome, right?
-
The original color versions of this pics, and the game itself in motion, look bloody amazing.
One of the best looking games this gen yet.
-
it has a team of like 300 people working on it and is so delayed and so far overbudget that Lucasarts will never internally develop a game again
REAL TALK
-
But guys, GameStop is reporting good numbers for it
-
And their PR rep said they were focused on their internal studio
-
They didnt need their VP of Product Development anyway
-
i hope the indiana jones game gets finished elsewhere, at least
the early screenshots looked pretty cool
-
I'm awaiting resumes
you and demi both
like a phoenix from the ashes
-
No screenshots of Ivy or Taki? :'(
-
Euphoria, the destroyer of games... probably why GTA4 is shit too
-
But I thought this game was going to be awesome? How can it kill Lucas Arts when it's gonna be awesome?
It's still gonna be awesome, right?
It's a year and a half over schedule, and from what it looks like it killed the Indiana Jones game dead.
When you're my age, a year and a half means nothing :'(

Link to this info?
I've heard about how this is one of the most expensive games ever, but i thought it was because of all the tech and shit going into the game.
-
the info is inside my head, based on my industry insider discussions with other industry insiders. however:
have you seen the weird mainstream press they've been getting for Force Unleashed? they got a fucking VANITY FAIR write up, for fuck's sake: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2008/03/lucas200803
they're prereleasing an art book: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Making-Star-Wars-Unleashed/dp/1933784253/ and a novel: http://www.amazon.com/Force-Unleashed-Star-Wars/dp/1593078919/
and that's not even counting the comic book, the LEGO line, the RPG books: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Force_Unleashed
all of which are waiting on the game. which is 18 months late at this point.
look at how many people they just fired. look at the rumors swirling around that everyone else will be fired once Force Unleashed shipped. look at how many executives are jumping ship. look at Lucasarts' comments about outsourcing IP in the future. look at how big the team is, and how delayed it is.
it is a make-or-break game for Lucasarts. unfortunately, it appears to have broken them before it even shipped.

...really?

It was a joke, IF had that as their message of the day on COD4 beta when EA Chicago shut down
-
ah
:'(
-
It was a joke, IF had that as their message of the day on COD4 beta when EA Chicago shut down
Er, it's not a joke. It's the same style message as they had up when EA Chicago crumbled, but aimed at LucasArts staff instead.

It's a joke, that's why they put it up.

This game looks like a rental at best, for me and a lot of other people. If it had come out during a christmas season it likely would have done good numbers though.
-
Ew.
The trailer on the marketplace looked totally and utterly uninspired. Boring.
