Title: Anyone accepted into the Endwar beta today?

Invites were sent out today so check your emails if you signed up. The beta is going up on Xbox live next week. I get accepted and I'm pretty excited about trying this out. Hopefully it'll be good!

Started today. I'm not really enjoying it. To be honest, Battlefield: Bad Company was more fun. If I was going to play an RTS like this it'd be World in Conflict.

Can you go a little bit deeper than that?  What's the game like?  How easy and effective are the voice commands? etc

In my opinion the voice commands work amazingly. I had no trouble at all shooting off orders to my squads, but I didn't really have any fun with it. I won't be playing it again, but at least they were able to get the voice commands to work.

I guess PR's voice just sucks.

Tried one game, the other guy quit and it got laggy and unplayable.

That sucks. To be honest I only used the voice commands during the "Activation" phase and all those worked perfectly. Probably because it already had predetermined commands that it wanted you to say so it already knew what to detect. Are you actually enjoying the game? From the one match I played, the game just didn't seem any fun at all. Sure, it has actual strategy and concepts behind it, but it just comes off as flat and boring.

Send your infantry to go-points on the map to capture locations. Keep the enemy from stealing the location from you. Upgrade your locations to use special map attacks against the enemy. Constantly spam reinforcement deployments and rush them to your captured points. Boring.

World in Conflict is a much better version of this game.
