Been using SP1 for a month, it's just as stable as ever.
:bow Vista :bow2

I don't get it. Hasn't this been out for a while?

I installed Vista SP1 and my PC randomly restarts now. I installed Speedfan thinking it my PC overheating and it still does it randomly ;_;. Its like I'm playing Russian Roullete but instead of dieing, I just get slightly annoyed.

randomly restarts? could be a BSOD.
this is for XP but maybe it's the same for Vista:
For those needing to disable the setting, you need to go to the Control Panel, click on System, when it's panel pops up, click on the advanced tab. Look for a area titled "Startup and Recovery" where you'll see a settings button. In the settings area, around the middle of the panel will be the title "System failure", with some options to be selected. Though you can use the system log to pin point an error message, if a user disables the "Automatically restart" setting, they'll actually be able to see the error message, when it happens, and have something to post other then "my system keeps re-booting, and I don't know why"

check the first post too, might help.

I got SP1 for Vista a few weeks ago and I haven't had any problems with random restarting. It's fairly stable aside from some videogame hiccups, some of which I think are due to incompatibility with my graphics card.
As a side note, 32-bit Vista now fully recognizes my fourth stick of 1GB RAM, before I got SP1 it only recognized 3.25 GBs of RAM.

That's really strange, and interesting. I wonder if it can actually address/use that memory, of if it's just reporting the amount installed.

"With SP1, Windows Vista will report the amount of system memory installed rather than report the amount of system memory available to the OS. Therefore 32-bit systems equipped with 4GB of RAM will report all 4BG in many places throughout the OS, such as the System Control Panel. However, this behavior is dependent on having a compatible BIOS, so not all users may notice this change", Microsoft revealed.
