Title: The Lesbian Must DIE - Top Chef final episode tonight
Post by: Hitler Stole My Potato on June 11, 2008, 08:58:47 PM
I don't know if any of you cocksmokers watch this show or not but tonight is the final night - the final night of having to watch the most evil lesbian on TV that isn't named Nancy Grace go down in flames.  It will be glorious.  Maybe someone could break off a broom stick in her butt when she gets the boot.

Haven't followed the show since season 2.  I heard this season has been decent.

Best since season 1, imo.  Even with the witch.

She's a fucking joke. She's been saved time and time again by the simple fact that someone else has risked more and therefore crashed harder. Which in itself shows the flaws in the selection system; there's no way she's a more capable chef than for example Dale, and she should have been booted a long time ago on the basis of having been in the bottom three too many times. She's sucked throughout the entirety of the show, and I swear, there is no way this character can have any friends in real life. And if she does, they must be wondering about her right now, specifically after selling out Andrew.

On the upside, thank god for this show. I consider it my antidote to the farse/poison that is Hell's Kitchen.

Best since season 1, imo.  Even with the witch.

The interesting thing is that people seem to, by and large, be professional in their relationships. And aside from groundchop hellbitch here, they seem to be the best choices for the final showdown. I remember the season with whitecake homeboy versus Ilan the professional doucheprick, and then some other royal douches rounding out the douchecake. Good cooking, but too much drama.

I was so angry the night when Dale left and Lisa stayed that I had trouble getting to sleep.  I can't remember the last time I was so wrapped up into a show...lol.  I would've much rather seen Spike go to Puerto Rico over Lisa even though I consider him to be the just as mediocre as she is and Dale or Andrew should've made it to the finals over either of them.

But even with Lisa still in the competition there's just no way in hell she could possible win it.  Richard was absolutely right last week when he said, "congratulations, you've just won the fucking bronze medal."  She just flat out doesn't deserve to be there regardless of what she keeps telling herself.

I can't wait to see the reunion show.  Should be hilarious.

Richard has been a certain finalists since the beginning. I'm actually more surprised that Stephanie made it, as she seemed to be sort of in the "back row" throughout the series. She's definitely the most grounded, and she's been kicking ass in the last few episodes.

But yeah.... Lisa.  :punch

I'm such a dork for the show that I just checked the stats

Lisa:

ELIMINATION CHALLENGE WINS: 1/13

QUICKFIRE WINS: 0/13

Stephanie:

ELIMINATION CHALLENGE WINS: 4/13

QUICKFIRE WINS: 2/13

Richard:

ELIMINATION CHALLENGE WINS: 4/13

QUICKFIRE WINS: 3/13

Kinda disappointed for Richard.  Really seemed like an off night for him.  If he could've settled down and pulled  out some sort of coherent ideas he probably would've ran away with the thing.  He really was the most talented chef on the show this season but Stephanie is certainly no slouch.  If he had to lose, I'm glad it was to her.  Hopefully we'll see more of Richard in the next season as a quickfire judge or in one of those Top Chef one offs where they bring back chefs from the past seasons.

I still wish someone would've told Lisa what a fucking rotten vag she was before the final gun sounded.  Hopefully the reunion will bring the pain.

Lisa. Die.

Kind of disappointed that the judge's did not consider the Chef's entire body of work. Richard pretty much dominated the entire season and he was the most original and innovative by far. He had a bad night last night, and for awhile it appeared that snaggle-puss might be in the running. She barely scraped by the entire season, yet she had a legitimate chance at the title. IMO, the final 3 should have been Richard, Stephanie, and Dale.

I have to believe that Lisa had no chance of winning this thing no matter how well she performed last night. They edited the show to make it seem like Lisa in all her mediocrity had a chance of pulling it off but they've always judged the ultimate winner not only on the last meal but on past performance and factor in character as well. Her attitude alone would be enough to give the title to someone else. With Richard laying an egg last night, the default winner was obviously Stephanie.  If the situation would've been reversed, it would've gone to Richard.

I really wished they would've asked the other contestants who they thought should be top chef as they've done that before.  That was always fun. :p

From the get go i expected a woman to win. So it was going to be Steph vs Lisa. Richard had no chance imo.

Yeah, I've griped throughout this entire season about how the selection process is flawed. The "perform well in this challenge or you're out of here" model may work for other shows, but not this one. No one that has been in the bottom three that many times should even have a chance to compete in the finals.

I also think the immunity award is pretty much bullshit.

Damn straight (or gay in this matter). It seems like Dale won 3-5 challenges, not counting the quickfires, and yet he is missing from the top 3? That doesn't seem fair to me, but then again Antonia getting sent home instead of Lisa didn't make much sense either. I agree with you about the immunity award as well, they should just make the reward an advantage like they did in the last handful of episodes.
